SHB50115 Diploma of Beauty Therapy qualification provides the skills and knowledge for an individual to be competent in a broad range of beauty treatments and work as a skilled therapist. It is the most sought after beauty qualification.
SHB50115 Diploma of Beauty Therapy course offers students with essential skills and understanding to implement beauty treatments with confidence and professionalism. A beauty therapist provides their clients with a wide range of treatments to the face and body. Each treatment is designed to improve skin care and condition with the help of supportive treatments on the face and body
Entry Requirements
- Participants must be aged 18 or above
- Provide an Australian Year 12 certificate
OR
- Successful completion of an Australian Qualifications Framework Certificate (AQF) IV or higher (where the language of instruction is English)
OR
- Successful completion at above Exit Level 3 of the literacy and numeracy assessment using the LLN Robot (The Learning Resources Group) in both reading and numeracy
AND
- Completion of The Health Arts College “Assessment of Prior Skills & Knowledge” assessment.
Pre-requisites:
SHBBINF001-Maintain Infection Control Standards must be successfully completed before commencing
SHBBSKS005- Provide Micro-Dermabrasion Treatments

Course Delivery
Classroom based training sessions to develop the knowledge and theoretical understandings required and practical sessions to develop skills in clinic.
Delivery locations are available in NSW (Bankstown and Cabramatta) and VIC (Dandenong).

Assessment
The assessment process includes the gathering of evidence to demonstrate the student’s competence. Students are assessed using written questions and practical demonstration.
RPL / Course Credit
THA offers Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) and Credit Transfer to students through the enrolment process.
Completion
At the successful completion of the course students will be awarded with the “Testamur” and a “Record of Results” which provides detailed Units of Competency completed in the course.
At the Partial Completion of the course students will be awarded with a “Statement of Attainment” which will detail only the Units of Competency that student has achieved competency from the course
